Mallika Sherawat hires paparazzi to take her pictures in Hollywood
Lady Gaga may be the biggest Fame Monster around, but Mallika Sherawat plans on getting there soon enough. Hell, she's even found a shortcut. Sources reveal that after returning to Hollywood, the Hisss star hired local paparazzi friends to follow and tape her every move.
Who's tracked
A source close to her reveals, "The Western media, especially Hollywood, feeds off the paparazzi culture. If you are photographed stepping out of a club or walking on the streets by one pap, news will spread and they will be drawn, moths to flame.
In no time at all, you're famous! Only celebs whose pics fetch money, are tracked."
Madame M took cue. "Recently Mallika was spotted talking to a cameraman following and taping her as she walked. It was later revealed that he was her friend who simply posed as a paparazzi guy, " says the source.
Playing to galley
The video has been posted on the popular celebrity portal http://www.hollywood.tv/ and shows Mallika talking in an American accent.
Her friend asks her about "reports of working with the likes of Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp" which she laughs off with her trademark giggle.
Fully aware that such videos go viral minutes after hitting the web, Mallika poses, pouts and answers all the questions excitedly.
In fact, she even shows off her newly-purchased shades and asks for opinion! Buzz is that this is an attempt to get publicity for her film Love, Barack.
Cannes Yatra
Mallika plans to take one of her Twitter followers on a date to the Cannes Film Festival this year. She took to her micro-blogging site telling her fans they, too, can join her on the red carpet.
Perez Hilton
Mallika will appear on prolific US blogger Perez Hilton's website talking about fitness, Bollywood and her future plans. Perez, who's notorious for his nasty comments on celebrities, met the actress and conducted an interview.

It's a malaise most actresses have to put up with. Everyone from Katrina Kaif to Mallika Sherawat has claimed to be a victim of doctored pictures that see them in several states of undress.
Newbie Preeti Desai (who made news for being Abhay Deol's girlfriend) and who makes her debut in Shor In The City, is distraught to learn that topless pictures of her were circulating online today.
The newbie has been claiming that the pictures are morphed and that she never posed for these pictures "There is a lot of rubbish on the internet. I don't think people are gullible to believe everything they read or see! I'm not going to waste time commenting on silly things like this!" she says.
Preeti would rather talk about her role in SITC. "I play Shalmili opposite Sendhil Ramamurthy's character Abhay (Sendhil), who is going through a bad phase after moving back to the city. She shows him the city through her eyes and the city comes alive for him."

 Ranbir Kapoor's interest in the exotic beauty Nargis Fakhri is more professional than personal.
The US-born half-Pakistani half-Czech debutante's Hindi needs a lot of work, to put it mildly, and Kapoor has taken up the cause to perfect her language skills. Along with director Imtiaz Ali, Kapoor has been relentlessly working on Fakhri's diction.
In fact, sources say the entire Rockstar team is determined to turn Fakhri desi before the final print of Rockstar is ready for release in September. All members of the crew have been advised to converse in Hindi with Fakhri; no one talks to her in English anymore.
Ali and Kapoor had put aside the leading lady's linguistic problem at the start of the shoot. Ali was reportedly dazzled by her screen presence, and decided to sort out the tiny issue of language later. Now, with Rockstar nearly complete, the director and the lead actor have joined forces to make Fakhri's Hindi sound credible.
The two have two options -- either her lines can be dubbed by a professional dubbing artist, like Katrina Kaif's lines were in her first few films, or Fakhri improves her Hindi enough to sound convincing as a desi girl in time for the final print.
"Nargis' screen presence and her acting abilities are topnotch. Everyone from the unit is raving about her. But the matter of her lines still need to be sorted out, " said a source.
Ali and Kapoor have reportedly taken the tougher route and are working on Fakhri's Hindi round the clock. The 5'9" tall Fakhri was featured in the 2009 Kingfisher calendar. She has also done television commercials for Herbal Essence, Pantene, and Ponds in the US. |
