Mallika feels Kangna can try her luck, too, and giving her advice." Both the actresses feature together in Double Dhamaal. As reported in September last year Mallika had avoided co-star Kangna's overtures during the first schedule of Double Dhamaal making their co-stars Sanjay Dutt, Ritiesh Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi uncomfortable. But this catfight ended soon. Adds the source, "Initially, Kangna thought Mallika behaved like a diva, while MS couldn't understand why KR was so friendly with the guys. But Kangs has always been friendly with all her co-stars from Emraan Hashmi to Hrithik Roshan, Arshad, Ritiesh and Sanju whereas Mallika prefers to keep to herself while shooting." Reveals the source, "It was during the second schedule that the two became good friends with Mallika even posting pictures of Kangna and her to disprove the theory that she and Kangs didn't get along." Real-life movement against moral policing on women by Sri Ram Sena finds place in a movie  The pink chaddi campaign, started by four young girls back in February 2009, against the moral policing on Indian women by the Shri Ram Sena has now found a place in a Bollywood production. Pink bra campaign Vivek Agnihotri's film Buddha In A Traffic Jam has incorporated the real-life movement in the film. The Goal and Chocolate director's next project deals with issues that affect the youth. Says a source, "They have done the research and taken inputs from the girls who started the campaign as well as those who were involved in the incident. In the film, they will tag it as pink bra campaign." Explains Agnihotri, "Buddha In A Traffic Jam is about the socio-political system and its nexus. It is inspired from real life incidents. I travelled all across the hinterland and realised that corruption and moral policing have victimised and terrorised the common man more than terrorism has." Time to act He adds, "My film deals with real-life issues that have affected the youth of the country and it shows the creative ways to deal with them. I am fully aware of the threats and consequences but I believe that evil prevails when good men don't act. I think I am at a point in life when I must act." The film stars Arunoday Singh, Mahi Gill, Viveck Vaswani and Pallavi Joshi and has been shot at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad. What was the pink chaddi campaign? The pink chaddi campaign was launched in February 2009 in response to violent activism against perceived violations of Indian culture. It was in protest against a threat by Pramod Muthalik of the Sri Ram Sena, an orthodox Hindu group. On February 6, 2009 a group of men belonging to the Shri Ram Sena attacked some women in a Mangalore pub. Later, Muthalik announced an action plan to target couples found together on February 14 (Valentine's Day) and get them married. Four young women (Nisha Susan, Jasmine Patheja, Mihira Sood and Isha Manchanda) urged a Gandhi-like peaceful protest by sending pink underwear to Muthalik's office. Later, people from all over the country and world sent chaddis to the Shri Ram Sena office.

Minissha Lamba detained at airport for carrying jewellery worth Rs 50 lakh Minissha Lamba was detained at the airport yesterday. The actress was kept back for bringing jewellery worth approximately Rs 50 lakh while returning from Cannes, France. She arrived by an Emirates flight yesterday morning from Nice via Dubai. The actress walked the red carpet at the Cannes film festival last week. But the same red carpet treatment was not meted out to her here at the international airport. She has been charged with carrying R 50 lakh worth of jewellery above the permitted limit and was detained by custom officials. She spent the afternoon being questioned about the bling. She was arrested for this. A statement will be recorded and a case will be registered against her, too. At the time of going to press no one her lawyer, her spokesperson, her family or the media was allowed to meet the actress. What the customs say.... Minissha Lamba was stopped while walking through the green channel at Mumbai airport yesterday. Sameer Wankhede, deputy commissioner, Customs, and his team intercepted the actress. According to a senior customs officer, "We got a tip-off about her carrying jewellery above the permissible limit. We intercepted her at the green channel. We have been interrogating the actress. In case of jewllery worth up to R 5 lakh we give bail on the grounds of being personal jewellery but as she was carrying jewels worth Rs 50 lakh, she had to be detained. She will be produced in court today." Minissha's missing bag at Nice airport On her way back to Mumbai, Minissha Lamba found one of her bags missing at Nice airport. The actress had been tweeting about her loss on the micro-blogging site... "Disaster has struck. A baggage of mine has been stolen at Nice airport. I can't believe something like this has happened. The reason they won't go over the CCTV footage is that there is nothing recorded on it. Sadly, something like this has happened during the festival. If it was 'stolen' or 'misplaced'. For some reason, they are just refusing to confirm via their CCTV. Standing at the Emirates counter for one hour.
